Story
On Saturday 18th May I am taking part in an Ultra walk along the Jurassic coast which is 58km (36miles) with 1,700 metres climb. We are hoping it should take around 14-16 hours.
This page has been set up to raise money for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance in memory of my father Tony Murley who sadly passed away on the 29th March 2024.
Tony was enjoying a game of golf on Friday 22nd March, as he did several times a week. He was with his good friend Dermot, when he suffered a heart attack on the course. The air ambulance was dispatched due to the severity of the emergency and his location.
The helicopter took only 23 minutes to reach him. They worked extensively and transported him to Basingstoke hospital where he remained in intensive care for a week.
It currently costs in excess of £15,000 a day to maintain this life saving service, and it is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that they can provide a service and are able to keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were there for Tony in his hour of need and we want to raise money so they can help other members of the public and their families when it really matters.
As a family we thank you for any kind donations you can provide.
