2025 marks my 10 year anniversary with this amazing charity. A charity I care so much about and has taught me all I know. I see on a daily basis the trauma young people experience and thought to myself if these incredible/ resilient young people can manage this every day of there life surely I can run a few miles.....??

For everyone that knows me well will know that I hate walking let alone running! However, never one to shy away from a challenge here we are! Lets make a difference to thousands of young people's lives. Let's show young people what it feels like to feel safe/ love and nurtured. Let's allow them postive experiences/ memories regardless of there background. Let's end child poverty in this country once and for all!!

Barnardo's helps hundreds of thousands of children, young people, parents and carers across the UK. They don't abandon children because of who they are or what they've done. They listen to them, fight for their rights and do whatever it takes to protect and support them because they believe that all children have the right to a happy and healthy life. At a time when more young people need specialist help with complex issues like sexual abuse, mental health problems and serious violence, their work is more vital than ever.

£2300 of the total raised will be going to Barnardo’s overall fundraising income, anything over this amount will be donated to the service I manage in Aberdeen to help the young people I work with.
