Story
This is the opposite of a bucket list challenge for me. I’ve never wanted to run a marathon. However I want to raise awareness and support for the amazing TSA, so I’m doing it.
Tommy was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis at 6 months old. He has epilepsy, delayed development and is autistic. In my very biased opinion he is just amazing. He touches the hearts of everyone he meets. It helps that he is cute! He has gone through and will continue to go through many challenges because of this condition.
Tommy is my inspiration and motivation for this huge challenge. He even comes out for runs with me in his jogging buggy. Pushing a 6 year old up a hill whilst running is a challenge in itself!
I hope you can spare a few pennies to help me reach target for this amazing charity.
Below is information about the charity.
The TSA is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting and representing everyone affected by TSC. They are here for everyone in the TSC community, including families, individuals and professionals focused on TSC.
Your donations enable the TSA to continue working hard to help people today and find a cure for tomorrow through:
Support and information - The free TSA Support Line, providing up to date information and our annual flagship annual events.
Research - Funding world-class research into the causes, management and treatment of TSC so they can continue to make major breakthroughs.
Campaigning - Influencing NHS policy to ensure that the needs of people affected by TSC are met and they get the treatment and care they deserve.
The dedication and hard work behind raising vital funds means that the TSA can ensure that no-one is ever alone with TSC.
The TSA will never stop being here for individuals and families affected by TSC.
