Story
On September 8th we were staying on a hillside above Imlal in the High Atlas Mountains, close to the epicentre of the Moroccan earthquake. By huge good fortune the immediate villages suffered few casualties and we were unscathed. Over the next two nights we slept outside with locals, sharing food and blankets until the only road out was sufficiently cleared that we could return to Marrakesh.
Now safely back in the UK but leaving carnage and 3,000 dead behind, we need to repay the people we encountered for their humanity and kindness, and to help them, in any small way, to rebuild their communities.
