Story
This year I'm taking on the 12 dips of Christmas challenge. Between 1st December and 5th January (twelfth night) I'll be immersing myself in cold water wherever I can find it - lake, pond, sea, a forest well, a cold shower - even the odd ice bucket.
I'm slightly terrified to be sharing this as snow falls outside my window - but I'm ready to brave the cold for a great cause!
This winter, hundreds of local families will struggle to put food on the table and keep the lights on. It's always the busiest time of year for Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire - an independent, local charity providing practical help for those desperately trying to make ends meet. People with disabilities and long-term health conditions make up over half the charity's beneficiaries and are disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis.
Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire provides emergency food and fuel vouchers, expert debt advice and appeals the unfair benefit decisions made against disabled people. Every penny you donate will give the practical help people need to find their way forward - whoever they are and whatever their problem.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
