Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Not many people know, but this year our son suffered a near-fatal Asthma attack. On mother day, Charlie had a tiny hard to hear wheeze, thou he had his inhalers and we followed his Asthma plan this turned into a call to 999. The Ambulance operator assured me the ambulance was on its way and in no time at all arrived. The Paramedics did everything they could to stabiles him before transporting him to The Sheffield Children's Hospital. With flashing lights and an Emergency response car coming to meet them on route the Paramedics reached the A&E. Unfortunately Charlie had crashed and was in cardiac arrest, both Paramedics and Doctors come to Charlie's aid and after 4 minutes was back with us. Charlie was placed in a Medical induce coma to help with his recovery and moved to ICU. 2 days later, with the help of the fabulous team Charlie had woken from his Coma and was on the mend. 3 days later we was allowed home! This has been one of the hardest experiences and one that will take me, personally, a long time to over come but I know it will get easier with time. I cannot Thank the amazing people who helped save our Son's life, from the Paramedics, A&E Doctors & Nurses, ICU Team, Ward 4 Staff, Critical Asthma Team & the lovely Chaplain who came for a chat :) Thank you so much.
