Story
This year the team will be raising money for a charity close to one of our players hearts. A young family member is supported by TOFS. A charity who provide lifelong support for those born unable to swallow. We will also be passing on a small percentage to our team fund which will provide any additional kit needed. The walk will start at the home of Newsome Panthers and we will be heading over the hills to the Colne Valley where we will climb the hills to our finishing position at Laund Hill. Ready to stand on the pitch ahead of the game between Giants v Saints women. We will be setting off at 7am to make sure are there ahead of the game for the girls to have photos on the pitch with the teams
We provide support for those born unable to swallow, due to the rare congenital conditions Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF), Oesophageal Atresia (OA) and associated conditions. TOF/OA affect one in every 3,500 babies, and can only be repaired, not cured. When new parents hear the devastating news that their precious newborn baby has TOF/OA, we want to be there for them. From that first moment, to living with the condition as adults, we offer vital support and friendship along the way. Thank you so much for helping us to support our members.
