Story

I am fortunate to have spent 14 consecutive summers at Camp Chingachgook, starting at the age of 9 after losing my mother. Chingachgook allowed me positive outlets to grieve, ability to establish the foundation of who I am today and provided me opportunities to grow into a leader.

I am grateful to have spent many of those summers at camp with my younger sister, Sarah, as campers and counselors. We hiked ADK mountains together, we biked Vermont trails together, we sailed & canoed the waters of Lake George together, made memories we will cherish forever and celebrated several of her birthdays between Leap Inn & Buck Mt. We are both still using the same purple LLBean mummy sleeping bags to camp with our own children today, 20 years later. (Don’t pass up the opportunity to scroll through my photo gallery to see us “drying” those sleeping bags during a biking trip in 2000).

Summer of 2019 my son was able to attend Day Camp at the age of 5 and after a sad 2020 without camp, last summer he spent his very first two weeks of overnight camp! I am so proud to see him evolve into a Chingachgook Kid!! I've made lifelong friends at camp from all over the world and I’m glad he has the opportunity to do the same ...it is a place where "friendships grow and never die"...

I am honored to serve on the Chingachgook Advisory Council and Alumni Committee today, continuing to make a difference through volunteerism.

My goal is to raise funds that will allow young people this incredible opportunity to experience all that Chingachgook has to offer!

As we work to build back from what has been a devastating pandemic, we are working to build a stronger, healthier community, with your help!

The past two years, we have faced unimaginable hardships. But we’ve also achieved tremendous positive impact through every program we offer!

At Chingachgook, we believe in the magic of Camp. We believe in creating a welcoming community, where we are constantly striving to improve ourselves and others. We focus on building a deep connection with the natural world and with those around us. We believe in instilling confidence and independence in everyone who steps foot on Camp. We are passionate about providing programs that promote a healthy mind, body, and spirit for all.

Chingachgook is #MoreThanAPlace.

Join me in helping to keep the magic alive!
