Story
On the 9th November I am running the South Downs Trail Half Marathon with my mum (Jane Wonnacott). Mum only started running in her 60s and it will be her first ever half marathon, we won't be the first over the line (we may be the last) but we are determined to complete this challenge.
We would love to raise money for this fantastic charity, whose values are close to our hearts. Since their inception in 2009, they have helped transform the lives of thousands of children across 17 countries where little or no help is available.
Conflict in Gaza and across the Middle East is exposing children to devastating psychological harm that could last a lifetime (UNICEF). Severe emotional trauma forces a child to relive the worst moments of their lives making normal life impossible. Action for Child Trauma International (ACTI) trains local people to treat children so they recover from the trauma of war and are working with local organisations like Wings of Hope to develop the skills to treat children with PTSD once peace has been restored.
We can't change what's happened to these children but we can change what happens next...
