Story

Age UK Tunbridge Wells firmly believes that ageing is a natural part of life, and the later years of our lives should continue to be fulfilling, productive and enjoyable.

The statistics speak volumes - there has been a 17% increase in people aged 65 years and over in the last 10 years in Kent, with 19% of the population in Tunbridge Wells falling into this age group.

However, in April 2021, our historical core grant funding from Kent County Council (KCC) ceased. As an independent charity governed and managed by people from the local community, we rely on your support to keep serving our community.

Ciro and I are participating in the 'London to Brighton Cycle' event on September 15, 2024, to raise funds for our cause. Our target amount is £1,000. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that our ageing community continues to receive the care and support they deserve.

About the charity

We are an independent charity working to help older people remain supported and never forgotten. A longer life brings with it opportunities, however it can sometimes become challenging. We exist to champion and support those living their 'later life' and encourage their independence.
