Story

OH NO WHAT HAVE I DONE? I’ve decided to take part in a fitness challenge with some old school friends. We’ll be taking on Race the Sun Lake District Keswick for children's charity ‘Action Medical Research’. Having worked with young people over the last 15 years and seeing some of the extreme day-to-day challenges that some children have to face, I can assure you that this is a worthy cause.

In September I will be setting off at sunrise to bike 40 miles, hike 10.5 miles up Skiddaw Mountain and Row 2 miles around Derwentwater in a race against the sun.

Action Medical Research are a children’s charity who have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.

By supporting our team you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.

Any support would be much appreciated.
