Hackney Half Marathon 2025 · 18 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
The Random42 Run Club is embarking on a new adventure and have decided to raise £400 each on top of our company target, for The British Red Cross. This has everything to do with promoting fundraising and nothing to do with our personal enjoyment for running!
Apart from fundraising for a very worthy cause, our runners personal motivations are varied, of course:
+++
- Ana is running to spend 2 more hours with Run Club
- Gabriella is running to spend 2 hours more in Hackney than she already does
- Ismael never submitted his reason because he was too concerned someone else might be funnier than him
- Jack is running and will gladly accept your donation to pull the Murray foundation out of inconceivable debt as well as to break Jack physically and emotionally for a good cause
- Katie is running because the pain of plantar fasciitis is outweighed by the gain of finally beating Lounes
- Leon thinks it's cheaper to run in a mid-life crisis than purchasing a motorcycle
- Lounes is running because Ismael is
- Lydia is only running for the Strava kudos of course!
- Rosie would be running the miles anyway so they may as well be for a good cause
- Sam is running because he wants an excuse to paint himself blue for the Red Cross
- Tara is running because we signed her up whilst she was on holiday

The British Red Cross supports all crises, such as matters in the UK or abroad in Gaza, Lebanon, Sudan and Ukraine, it feels like the British Red Cross has never been needed more.
Through conflict, flooding or food shortages and fires, families and communities are facing unimaginable hardship.
No matter how difficult or dangerous things get, the British Red Cross is ready to face these challenges, bringing comfort and aid when all hope feels lost.
