Story

On reaching the grand old age of 90, to do a bit of good in the world, I signed up for this fundraiser for my chosen charity, Parkinson’s Research.

Starting on my birthday on July 2nd 2023, my first challenge was to climb Mount Everest remotely by repeat-climbing the Glastonbury Tor. It took 55 climbs, completed on Jan 30th 2024 and raised £928, thanks to all the generous donors (watch me complete my 55th climb): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EeCRgCR-MdM

Next challenge was to increase my 55 climbs to 100 climbs by my 91st birthday, which I completed on July 2nd, 2024, increasing the sum raised to £1896. My new challenge is to complete another 100 climbs by my 92nd birthday on July 2nd 2025. Here goes! Latest climb is #110.
