Ralph and Andrew's fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of my dad.

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2024 · 12 May 2024 ·
Just over 5 years ago Motor Neurone Disease (MND) took my wonderful dad away from us. Running was one of his passions and I have always wanted to do a marathon in his memory and raise funds to try and help find a treatment/cure to this horrible disease. The Motor Neurone Disease Association do incredible work in helping people with MND as well as trying to find that elusive cure.
Inspired by last year's Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, I was sure I wanted this to be my first. This year it takes place on Sunday 12th May and I will be on that start line, petrified of the 3 mile hill that is coming up after 18 miles.
My training has been hard and as this is my first marathon, I have set myself the target of beating 4:21:03 (Officially the average time for a male marathon finish time globally).
I have now been joined in my endeavour by a close family friend and avid runner Andrew Clark who, after signing up late, will almost certainly do it quicker than me! He was really keen to raise more funds for such an important cause so has bravely/foolishly (delete as appropriate) decided to brave the hills of Otley, Adel and Bramhope with less than two weeks training.
Any amount, however small, donated is hugely appreciated and will help Andrew and I get up that monstrous incline near the end.
Thanks
