We raise funds and awareness to support young people wth NF1

Story

On 11th May - my birthday- I'll be jumping out of a plane to raise funds for the Childhood Tumour Trust which supports young people and families like ours living with NF1 (Neurofibromatosis Type1).

NF1 is a condition that means tumours can form on any of the body's nerve endings, potentially leading to many life changing (or life limiting) symptoms.

As yet there is no cure for NF1.

As a parent whose child was diagnosed 12 years ago aged 8, I know first hand the positivity, empowerment and deep sense of belonging that is felt by the CTT community.

As a patron I'm glad I can play a part in raising funds to facilitate the many on-line and in-person activities, camps, classes and parties that CTT beneficiaries enjoy.

As well as campaigning for better treatment and more research, you can be sure that CTT - with only two members of staff - will use every penny donated to best effect.

I'm grateful for anything you're able to donate.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

About the charity

We are a small organisation committed to improving the lives of children and young people with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 by giving them the opportunity to meet others with the condition here and in the USA at specially arranged camps. We also aim to organise days out for families and fund research
