Story

Sam and Rahman here, bound by a shared mission to transform our minds and bodies and honor our loved ones touched by cancer.

In May 2021, we set out on a transformative quest that would challenge and change us to our core. It began with significant changes such as extinguishing a smoking habit that had lingered over for two long decades, or eventually eliminating our alcohol intake. To do that, we embraced a regimen of rigorous exercise, pushing our physical boundaries and building strength and endurance. We immersed ourselves in the disciplined world of the Carnivore diet, a path that was narrow and restrictive at the beginning but promised clarity and a return to health. Our commitment was far more than a fleeting New Year's resolution; it was a deep, unwavering promise to ourselves for lasting change.

The road was filled with temptations and hurdles, yet our dedication never wavered. With each craving resisted and each pound lost, we forged an unyielding resilience. We've collectively shed >110lbs (50kg), but more importantly, we have reinforced our mental grit, learning that the strength we admire in our loved ones is a quality that lives within us as well.

Now we're set to tackle the Hyrox fitness competition in Glasgow, a demanding mix of running, strength, and functional challenges. Our participation goes beyond competition; it's to honor the resilience of cancer fighters and support MacMillan Cancer Support, a beacon of hope for many.

Through this transformation, we've learned that true commitment breeds resilience, and willpower is the key to overcoming life's toughest challenges. Your support is not just a contribution to a cause; it is a vote of confidence in the human spirit's ability to rise, to endure, and to triumph.
