Story
Hello everyone,
Ragupathi Balasubramanian who is working as a Chief Cardiac Physiologist -CRM at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust, organizing another Cardiac procedures camp[India Mission2] with help of Arrhythmia Alliance-Pace4Life Charity. We are doing this as a team includes 8 different level of health care professionals from various NHS trust hospitals.
Pace4Life is responding to this situation by undertaking a project that will see thousands of unused pacemaker, ICD, CRT devices, including accessories, sent to a charity hospital in India and providing complete implant support by a highly qualified healthcare professional team from Various NHS Trust Hospital, United Kingdom.
The team already, completed Mission1 successfully and treated 52 patients and thank you everyone for your generous contribution to Pace4Life's medical device implant camp (Mission1) in India, which was held in March 2024.
The team again traveling to the same charity hospital in India to provide cardiac medical device implants, EPS+RFA ablations, educational sessions will take place between October 14th 2024 and October 20th 2024 at no cost.
This will enable us to deliver costly healthcare to a population where 90% cannot afford life-saving treatments such as pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device implantations, rather than resorting to the wasteful practice of binning unused devices in the United Kingdom.
During this charity hospital visit, we will provide high-quality treatment for as many patients as we can, aiming to complete at least 75 procedures including CIED device implants and electrophysiology study + RFA ablation for those in need. We have planned to do live case teaching and a one-day educational conference during the mission.
Dr. Mark Davies, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist from Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust, and Dr. Girish Babu, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist from Royal Bournemouth Hospital NHS Trust - both of them will be performing the procedures and also sharing their experience with complex procedures in a series of lectures to enhance the work knowledge with existing team in the charity hospital. Accompanying them are Becky Imms, Ashley Blackford, Mr. Yokesh Muthu, Mr. William Jesuraj, and Mr. Karthick Sankaranarayanan - all from various NHS trust hospitals.
The total cost per person is £1,500, which includes flights, accommodation, food, and Visa.
We are seeking your generous financial support towards covering part of this medical device implant camp in India and it will ease the burden on charity.
Your great financial contributions will help make a significant contribution towards the flights, accommodation, and equipment for the medical team.
Any donation, big or small, will bring us closer to our goal of making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Pace4Life is seeking to establish a process whereby people/patients donate old pacemakers to Pace4Life to be tested and either reused or recycled.
