Story

Friends of ANCHOR is a charity in the Northeast of Scotland which supports those facing a cancer or haematology diagnosis through vital wellbeing services, research funding, medical equipment and NHS Grampian staff development and training. Some of our staff or their friends and families have benefited tremendously from the support provided by Friends of ANCHOR.

Throughout the year we have taken part in various activities to raise funds for Friends of ANCHOR including, Runfest, Run Balmoral, Run Garioch, Brewdog Sportive and Midsummer Happening Sportive.

We would now like to shine the spotlight on to Keith McIntosh, the head of our Financial Services Department. Keith has bravely volunteered to take part in a Firewalk Experience! On the 2nd November 2024 Keith will find his inner courage and will walk across burning embers bare foot to raise funds for Friends of ANCHOR. We wish Keith good-luck and we hope that you will also support him by making a donation to Friends of ANCHOR.

By making a donation in support of our efforts, you will have an impact on the lives of loved ones, friends, colleagues & people in the Northeast of Scotland facing such a tremendously difficult time. Let’s make sure that cancer and haematology sufferers and those dedicated to treating them get the help and support that they deserve.

Thank-you in advance for your generosity.
