Story
Tragically my very good friend Deb lost her battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) on Jan 15th 2024. The photo above is one of my faves from my wedding. Debs smile was so beautiful and her wicked laughter so infectious!
We will keep fighting the fight, taking on these challenges to keep the pressure on to one day find a cure, so that others can be spared the suffering that Debs, Ray and the family have had to endure.
This year we will be walking the Windsor Easter Challenge 50Km on April 6th, and then taking the Weymouth Jurassic Coast at 58Km on May 18th.
Diagnosed in late 2021, Deb took the diagnosis on the chin and never once complained. Over the last 12 months Deb has had the most amazing care team tending to her every need- dressing, daily hygiene, feeding, comfort- all things we take for granted, but things Deb was unable do herself.
The MNDA charity provides amazing support, counselling, rest-bite care and has been of huge help to Deb, Ray and all the family. If you can spare a £ or two, we’d be incredibly grateful. Thank you!
