I have always had a fascination with Mount Everest. I am in awe of the mountain, it's surroundings and the people who live there. I have worked for Co-op funeralcare since November 2022 and I was so excited to find they organise a charity trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. How could I possibly turn down the opportunity to take part, and raise funds for a wonderful charity.

The events of recent years have left over a third of young people feeling that the odds are stacked against them. We think young people deserve a better future, and so we have teamed up with Barnardo's to bring communities together to support young people.

Co-op colleagues are walking, running, cycling and climbing to raise £5m over the next two and a half years to support 750,000 young people to access basic needs like food, manage their mental wellbeing and opportunities for their future.
