In May 2025, my brother-in-law James and I are taking on HYROX—an intense mix of running and functional workouts—to raise money for people living with cancer. HYROX may seem tough, but it’s nothing compared to the battle my incredible stepmother, Dee Jones, fought with unrelenting strength and courage.

Dee was one of a kind—always smiling, always laughing, and always fighting. Even as cancer tried to take everything from her, she refused to let it define her. She faced every challenge head-on, showing up everyday with incredible positivity and bringing so much joy to those around her. In July 2024, we heartbreakingly lost her, but her spirit, determination and love for life will always stay with us.

If Dee could fight through the hardest days with grace and resilience, we can push through this challenge in her honour.

We’ve pledged to raise £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, who provide life-changing care for the 3 million people in the UK living with cancer today. Macmillan is there from the moment of diagnosis, but they can’t do it without donations.
