Story
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in January of this year and as I come towards, what I hope, is the end of a lengthy journey of treatment, I have decided to challenge myself to take on the Lake District Mighty Hike in June 2025 to help raise money for people living with cancer.
I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support. When my whole world was turned upside down in more ways than one at the time of diagnosis, I could not have got through that time without the care and support from my Macmillan nurse so I feel it is important that others can also benefit from the same care.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
