William is 4 years old and a younger brother to Imelda who he affectionately calls Me-me. William often wakes in the morning and tells us his dreamt that Me-me was running after him playing! It’s his wish that Ime chases him and that’s when William decided to raise money by getting Muddy. His signed up with his two older cousins Orlagh and Liam to run the Rookie Rush on the 13th May! Orlagh and Liam continuously find ways to help Ime and jumped at the chance to join William in this mad muddy race. What absolute superstars.

It’s a 1.5-3k muddy obstacle course which including nets, slides and zip wires into mud pools! Oh and a lot of mud, Williams favourite! William is likely to be one of the youngest contenders but there really is no stopping him! His determined and cannot wait.

If we reach the £800 target it would buy 10 hours of physiotherapy which would be an intensive block of 2hrs a day over 5 days. These intensive blocks build up Imelda’s core muscles and confidence which will help Imelda to walk, hopefully run 1 day 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Imelda is 6 from Braintree in Essex and in her short life time she has had countless hospital visits and admissions. She was born with a rare chromosome disorder, she has hypotonia which affects her, spine and hips. She also deals with epilepsy and kidneys problems each day. All of these things make reaching milestones like walking and talking very difficult for Imelda. Just4Children are raising monies to give Imelda the specialist treatments and therapies she needs to lead as full a life as possible.
