On 22nd September I will be walking 10km for the International Animal Rescue’s Rainforest Run 2024 as part of Sara’s Team Macaque - a wonderful group of people around the world led by the fabulous Sara Wiseman.

WHAT FOR? Raising precious $$$ for our lesser known cousins; the unprotected MACAQUE with IAF's annual RAINFOREST RUN 2024 (5-10km anywhere in the world)

Why I chose MACAQUES in Indonesia - these sweet souls are not protected by law. Their population continuse to decline because of hunting and exploitation for entertaining tourists. They are caught in the wild and suffer terrible cruelty during their 'training' period, learning tricks to perform. followed by horrific mental and physical abuse from their captors. Sounds revolting? Sure is. SO I wanna help them - hopefully you do too.

IAF's team in Bogor assists with the rehabilitation and release of the macaques reduced from those causing the most harm.
