In am facing my fears during my 50th (+1) year by jumping 15,000 feet out of a plane in support of the Bristol and Weston Hospitals charity. This charity, along with the local NHS are joint funding the building of a dedicated children's research centre at the heart of Bristol Children’s Hospital.

In the South West, the opportunity for children with life-limiting or rare conditions to join lifesaving research trials is restricted as the children’s hospital is the only big children's hospital in the UK without a dedicated research facility. The impact of this is felt by patients, their families, and our NHS staff.

A dedicated research facility will enable the fantastic and extensive team to continue to support research into the transformation of treatments, discoveries of cures and improving countless lives today, tomorrow and well into the future.

I loved working in the research team for many years and continue to feel passionate about the importance of such a development in order to continue providing a beacon of hope for children and families across the region and beyond.

Any amount of sponsorship is extremely gratefully received and as I am self funding the 'jump' every penny donated will go towards this important cause.
