We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Too many friends and colleagues are affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and not only experiences with elderly members of their family - now just the next generation above us. The end of 2023 saw the passing of my best friends’ dad Philip who had suffered from Dementia. My mum remains in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s , thankfully stable and settled.

Sadly this fundraiser is too late for them, but it’s not for all the future generations ahead.

The Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

The Lakes Multi Activity Adventure includes approximately 10 miles of cycling, 5 miles of trekking and 2 miles of kayaking. I will conquer 17 miles of steep climbs, gruelling hills and paddle along one of the largest natural lakes in the UK.

I really understand how tight money is for everyone at the moment - please don’t feel obliged but if you could spare a few pounds it will be money well spent.
