Story
In September 2024, I will be running the Berlin Marathon once again to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness.
My motivation stems from a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those grappling with mental health issues -- so much importance lies in ensuring access to the appropriate resources for anyone facing such challenges.
Together, we can truly effect change. Whether small or large, every contribution will help get me closer to my fundraising target of $1,600. Your generosity will directly support vital services such as, but not limited to: support groups, educational materials, and the offering of much-needed assistance to individuals as well as the families of those navigating mental illness.
Let's unite in this cause, making a positive impact on those who need it most. I'm immensely grateful for anything you can give towards this endeavor. Thank you for being a part of this journey towards better mental health for all.
Survivors who wake to more work than before because their friends and family are exhausted from helping them fight a battle they may not even understand. I hope to one day see a sea of people all wearing grey ribbons as a sign that they understand the secret battle, and as a celebration of the victories made each day as we individually pull ourselves up out of our foxholes to see our scars heal, and to remember what the sun looks like. - Jenny Lawson, author
