Our amazing husband/Dad/brother/friend Phil passed away in July 2023. We are all utterly heartbroken and want to continue to raise money in his name to try and help the many many people across Conwy county who struggle with their mental health.

Not content with the amazing day that was the Mental Elf walk, we have decided to sign up for the Seal Splash. In February. In the sea. We must be mad. Please see below for more.

I will be taking part in Conwy Mind's brand new fundraising event - Seal Splash!

Talking about how you really feel can sometimes cause you to freeze and can also take your breath away. It's a courageous thing to do so I will be taking on a challenge that replicates the emotions of someone struggling to talk about how they feel. It will make me freeze and take my breath away - a cold water sea dip on Colwyn Bay Beach!

Thanks to the generous sponsors Tom Owen and Son every penny raised at the event goes direct to helping people struggling with their mental health in Conwy, Anglesey and Gwynedd.

As uncomfortable as it might feel at first, getting into cold water has proven health benefits so I will not only be helping to improve others mental health by raising vital funds but also improving my own wellbeing!
