Story
Hello All
As most of my friends and family will know my beautiful little girl Olive was a Sid’s victim . This month is baby loss awareness month and myself , friends and family will be holding a moonlight walk in memory of our beautiful olive . This will be on Saturday 14th October we will be walking the route of Olive’s funeral we will be leaving my home in aylesford at 4.30pm and will finish at Snodland cemetery where baby olive is buried . Approx 5 miles . SIDS is absolute nightmare the pain it causes to families and worst of all is there is just no answer to what it is or how it can be treated , so every donation really does make a difference into more researching and helping even more families in devastating and heartbreaking times like me and my family have recently gone through and still going through
My baby olive had such a rough to start to her life from being born 8 weeks and 3 days early and having to spend the first 5 weeks of her life in hospital on the neonatal ward , olive was released from hospital with a clean bill of heath but sadly on Saturday 1st July I woke to find baby olive unconscious I was giving Olive CPR whilst waiting for the paramedics to arrive once arrived she was rushed to pembury hospital where it was discovered olive had suffered cardiac arrest they worked on her for 6 hours and at this time we had to make the decision to end Olive’s life support as there was nothing they could do for her she was 100% brain dead and all of her organs had closed down every second she was on life support she was becoming more and more critical Olive passed away at 10.47 in my arms surround by loved ones in the short 9 weeks and 6 days of her life baby Olive showed nothing but courage and bravery . Her passing away has absolutely destroyed us mentally and emotionally. Every donation is greatly appreciated
Everyone is welcome to come and join in even if the whole walk is too much , you are all more than welcome to join closer to the finish line or even wait for us at the cemetery.
All donations goes to the lullaby trust they offer support and advice to anyone who has been affect by sudden death or even those who are just worried in general they are an amazing charity and they do some fantastic work .
I have taken this from their website just a little insight to what they do .
Together we can ensure that the families of over 700,000 babies born in the UK each year can receive vital advice to help them keep their baby safe. We can also make sure that anyone affected by the sudden death of a baby or young child can receive specialist bereavement support whenever, and for however long, they need it. Together, we can keep striving towards a future free from sudden infant death.
Thank you all for reading and thank you to everyone who is donating and sharing it doesn’t go unnoticed we appreciate all the support we have received and still getting
