As most people know, I lost my amazing husband Phil in July this year. It would have been his 39th birthday on the 9th December and for his birthday I wanted to do something special to celebrate the funny, lovely, creative, supportive person he was. I think the fact that I’m even considering doing a 5k shows how dedicated I am to doing something to honour him!

He had help from Mind in the time we were together, and it seems like an appropriate charity to support. They do amazing work supporting people with mental health problems, myself and Phil included.

On Sunday 26th November I will be taking part in Conwy Mind's first Mental Elf 5k fun run!

Mental Elf aims to bring the community together, provide festive fun but all together have one goal - to support better mental health and wellbeing across Conwy County.

We all know Christmas can be an extra difficult time for some people and at Conwy Mind they see a rise in calls and people needing support. Money raised during Mental Elf can them us ensure nobody faces a mental health issue alone.

With support and sponsorship we can help Conwy Mind support more people, answer more phone calls, and speak louder for everyone affected by mental health in Conwy.
