Story

When approaching a ‘big’ birthday we often think about doing something a bit crazy and lots of fun…Right?! (although Covid robbed my 30th 🙄 but that’s another story)!! Well this year my Sister Jade turns 40, which feels surreal considering she was 18 when we lost her. I’ve lived more of my life without her than I did with her, and yet it still feels like yesterday.

Yes, I’m too impulsive for my own good and last year I had the crazy idea to celebrate Jade’s 40th by signing up to something that I hope she’d be proud of. So….having never been a runner before (😬) I’m now 4 weeks in to training for the London Marathon, that’s in 12 weeks time (sounds horrific I know).

Please help motivate me to run 42k for Jade’s 40th, by helping me raise as much as possible for Martin House Children’s Hospice. This charity holds a special place in our hearts ❤️ and we’ll be forever grateful for the love, memories and support they provided us as a family (also, how can I not mention Robin’s famous food 😁).

Please please donate 🙏 thank you ❤️

Martin House supports children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across West, North and East Yorkshire. Our vision is that every child and young person has access to palliative care when and where they need it.
