Story
Hi! I'm Rachel - I live in South Wales and work as a researcher in the civil service. I have had severe allergies and anaphylaxis since I was a baby and I am raising money for Anaphylaxis UK by doing several ridiculously massive hikes around Wales and beyond. This amazing charity supports people with severe allergies and their families to navigate the complicated and often scary world of anaphylaxis.
Some of the planned walks:
- North Wales coastal path (70 miles)
- Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (180 miles)
- Glyndwr's Way (135 miles)
- Offa's Dyke (170 miles)
- Seven Highest Peaks of the Lake District, end of September
With my daughter, we are walking the three highest peaks of Wales - Pen y Fan (done!), Cadair Idris, and Snowden through 2023 and 2024.

About the charity:
Anaphylaxis UK (formerly Anaphylaxis Campaign) is the only UK-wide charity operating solely for the growing numbers of people at risk of serious allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
For over 25 years, we have been striving for a brighter future for the allergic community. We offer information and support for individuals and their families, for businesses and for schools and other places of education. We provide resources for people with serious allergies that can be trusted and are both scientifically based and factually accurate.
