***UPDATE***
I did it! And enjoyed (almost) every mile (photo of my run-smiling attached as evidence). Though that 13th mile was pretty hard-going...
Thanks so much for all your support and generous donations, which mean the world not only to me but to countless families affected by Alzheimer’s. Every contribution helps fund critical research, provide essential support, and bring us closer to a future where no one has to face this disease alone.
Your kindness and generosity are just so beautiful — thank you for making a real difference!

In October, I will be running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, an organisation that is very close to my heart. They are an incredible charity that have given invaluable help to my family and I over the last four years. And it would be amazing to be able to give something back!
If you can afford it, I'd be grateful for any amount you feel comfortable donating. Your contribution will provide vital support to those affected by dementia. If not, I'd be equally grateful if you took some time to educate yourself on this devasting disease and consider the daily struggles faced by those living in a society not designed for invisible disabilities. You can read more about Alzheimer's disease and the exellent work done by the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Soctland.
And finally...pls send positive vibes to get me over the finish line!
(Thanks to all you lovely people we already smashed my initial £250 target. So I've upped it to £500 in the hopes of raising as much money as possible for this wonderful charity)
