Story
ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy) blights the lives of 250,000 people in the UK today. The smallest exertion can floor them; their joints and muscles ache unbearably; restful sleep eludes them; and ‘brain fog’ clouds their thinking. It changes lives drastically, many sufferers cannot leave their homes. There is no known cure.
My little sister, my first best friend, was diagnosed with ME last year. Leanne has always been the adventurer, never sitting still, always travelling and exploring. Unfortunately this horrible disease has stopped her doing many of the things she used to love as she just doesn't have the strength anymore. But not once has she complained, she keeps a smile on her face and does whatever little her body will allow. Lea is so brave and her positivity truly blows me away. I'm so very proud of her and I will do whatever I can to help raise awareness and support for this cruel disease.
So first stop....jumping out of a plane!!!!!!!!! On the 17th August I'll be taking part in a 10,000ft Skydive in Salisbury. I have paid for the event myself as I would like all the money raised to go the ME Association, so they can continue with their research and support.
Please help me to help those with ME.
