Story
“I would really like to raise as much money for the Ambulance Service as I possibly can. My mum has worked for the ambulance service my whole entire life and I am very proud and happy of what she does. I know they all work very very hard and try their best to help everybody they can. With the help of my dad, who will be with me the whole time, I would like to cycle at least 76 miles to reach my target of £100.”

My Outrun an Ambulance challenge:
Station - 75 Years of the NHS
Mileage - 76
Timescale - 3 months
Our 9 year old daughter, Grace is wanting to do something to help all the staff and volunteers of the East of England Ambulance Service, whilst also helping with fitness and getting out and about.
Grace decided that she would like to take up the challenge of outrunning an ambulance on her bike (with her dads support,) as she loves to cycle and thought this would be a good way to achieve her goal of 76 miles, and maybe more.
Grace understands that any money raised will go to such a good cause for all within in EAST, and outside as well. So far donations have been spent on support such as supplying local volunteer Community First Responders life-saving equipment, uniform, and cars to access 999 calls, providing members of the public free CPR training alongside upkeep of public access defibrillators, and enhancing the well-being of ambulance staff which is especially important after attending traumatic calls.
Any donation that can be given will be greatly appreciated by Grace and her whole family.
