On the 5th October, I’ll be climbing 3 of London’s peak landmarks, the Cheesegrater, the Walkie Talkie and the Scalpel which is in total 475m - 3180 steps..

I’m fundraising for ‘Over The Wall Children’s Charity’ which supports children and their families coping with serious illnesses and conditions.

Over The Wall provides an inclusive environment for all children living with serious illness to build confidence and self-esteem, while first-class medical care enables them to cater for more than 130 different conditions. They aim to empower children with serious illnesses to see beyond their perceived boundaries and help them rediscover self-esteem, confidence and most importantly, the joy of childhood.

You may have many fond childhood memories where you had the freedom to play & take part in many fun activities. Sadly this is not the case for every child, especially those with health challenges & disabilities. These children have a right to play and to be in an environment which meets their needs. Play is the highest level of learning & is vital to a child’s holistic development. When children engage in play it provides opportunities to enjoy freedom, and exercise choice and control over their actions, exploring risk; & over time will foster children’s independence and self-esteem.

‘Over the Wall’ charity provides children & young people with all of these opportunities.
