This year i will be taking part in the route 66 motorcycle challenge in aid of Children's health.

Childrens Health are raising vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children's Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly.

To date in numbers they have provided:

€2.16m - upgrading and replacing essential equipment

€958k - patient and parental support

€103k site redevelopment/new services

€6.71m - CHI hospitals, urgent care centres and research

€3.48m - life-changing research

Route 66 has been running in aid of the Childrens hospitals since 2002 they have covered 750,000 miles. This bi-annual adventure has become a beacon of hope raising over €5 million since it's inception.

The motorcycle challenge involves 10 days on the road, nine states, four time zones:

Chicago, Illinois -> Los Angeles, California.

Through the heartland of America via Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada.

I've committed to raising €10,000 to participate brave patients.

Usually, some of the funds raised would go towards financing the trip, but I'm covering my own expenses. That's a 2,000 donation from me, and Cisco will match it too. Talk about teamwork ;)

So far, this incredible fundraising challenge has raised over €5 million for the urgent needs of these children, who deserve the best possible care, all thanks to the generosity of people like you.

The impact of this trip is real, and I'm thrilled to be part of a team of big-hearted bikers making a tangible difference.
