This year Queen Elizabeth's Sixth Form have chosen to raise money to support the great work of the RNLI who work tirelessly every day to keep people safe on our beaches and save lives at sea. This is a charity close to our hearts in the Sixth Form and our community and through raising money to support the work of the volunteer RNLI lifesavers we honour and remember the life of Jack Lees. Jack was a former student at QE who sadly lost his life earlier this year having saved others who had got into difficulty whilst swimming in the sea.
RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly and as a charity, they depend on our donations so they can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
During this Christmas period, students from the Sixth Form will be taking part in a number of activities to raise money for the the RNLI. This includes carrying a Christmas tree 4 miles back to school (4th December), a Christmas Jumper Day (16th December) and a Carol Concert held at St Lawrence Chapel, Crediton on 17th December.
Thank you for your support!
