Story

WALK FOR MOUTH CANCER

Mouth Cancer is on the increase!

The Mouth Cancer Foundation exists to raise awareness and support for mouth cancer. The charity endeavours to promote, protect, educate and support the public. Informing people on the signs, symptoms, risk factors, facts and figures and key causes of mouth cancer is extremely important and something which the charity is very passionate about.

There are over 8,864 new cases of mouth cancer in the UK each year. 3,034 lives were lost in 2021. World wide the disease affects 650,000 people per year. This is the only walk for mouth cancer anywhere in the world!

As part of the Head & Neck Team (Maxfax & ENT) at Queen Alexandra Hospital we are hoping to represent our team by attending the annual London Walk at Hyde Park on the 23rd September as well as organising our own event in October/November in the Portsmouth area (DATE TBC)

All donations are welcome and we hope we can raise enough to help raise awareness against this life changing cancer!
