Story
Ministry of Defence Police officers are donning their Lycra once again and taking to the roads in the 2024 edition of the Police Unity Tour to raise money for Care of Police Survivors.
COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives. Since its foundation in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of police families devastated by the loss of a loved one who died on duty.
A team of 16 riders and 4 support crew have been assembled and are keen as ever to get cracking!
Starting on Friday 26th July 2024, the team will begin their journey from MDP HQ at RAF Wyton and will take on an undulating course of well over 120miles over 3 days! The riding will be tough, as will the countless hours of training each team member will have to endure to give themselves the best chance of making it to the finish line at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire on Sunday 28th July 2024.
This JustGiving page will be updated regularly with stories and anecdotes from team members whilst out on their training rides and fundraising events, so please check back often and keep up to date with our progress.
