Story

Here at Puddle Ducks, when we learnt about The Children's Hospital Pyjama's cause, not only were we blown away with what the charity had achieved over the last 12 years (it is run solely by volunteers), we also thought that so many of our customers will have empathy with the charity's mission; working with little ones, we know of so many customers who have found themselves in hospital with their children over the years. Plus, there is such a brilliant link to our Pyjama Week!

Pyjama Week teaches our swimmers invaluable personal survival skills and raises money for charity; all while having lots of fun!

Wearing pyjamas during swimming lessons is about more than just having fun. Most accidents will happen while your child is fully clothed, so Pyjama Week will give a great indication of what this will feel like. It will help them realise that they will feel heavier but they will still be able to do important life-saving skills like kicking to the surface and reaching for the side.

Children's Hospital Pyjamas accepts donations all year round; their main annual appeal runs from 1st September - 30th November, which ties in perfectly with our Autumn PJ week. They are currently supplying pyjama packages (containing 92 pairs of brand new pyjamas) to 155 venues across the UK and this number is constantly growing. Find out which venues near you are benefitting from the donations.

Thank you so much for your support

About the charity

Our ethos is to spread love through comfort. We believe if a child has to be in Hospital then they do not want to be wearing a hospital gown. We also believe that a new pair of pyjamas can bring comfort to a child going through hardship. For some children these pyjamas may be the only new thing they receive.
