James Morris from the RSM Preston office is taking on the challenge to skydive over Cumbria on 29 October 2023. Many people have wanted to push James out of an aeroplane – now he is voluntarily jumping! Not only that, he’s carrying a bit of Covid weight, and needs to lose over 10kg to hit the maximum weight for a jump.

Lancashire Mind plays a vital part in the lives of so many within our local Preston community and we believe that raising money for this cause will make a real difference to those using the services within our local office area.

James will be sure to post many updates and progress messages across social media and the Just Giving page to show his supporters how he's getting on with the challenge.

We really appreciate your generosity - let's reach £1,500! Every penny will land with the charity as the jump has been paid for already.

We’re committed to giving back and making a difference to our local communities which is why we’re taking part in the RSM Together challenge.

RSM Together is an initiative that gives our people the opportunity to give back locally. It’s something we feel very passionately about at RSM which is why the RSM UK Foundation will offer funding of £100,000 split between offices. The offices that raise the most money will receive the largest proportion of the £100,000 funding pot.

We’d love to see Preston secure a sizeable donation for our chosen charity, and of course beat the other offices to one of the top spots in the league table!

Our office has chosen to support Lancashire MIND.

Lancashire Mind see a future where everyone in Lancashire understands their mental health and wellbeing, see it as important as physical health and know how to look after it. They believe that only a universal approach, which gets everyone talking about and understanding mental health, will result in the achievement of Mental Wellbeing for All. They do this by working with people of all ages to build resilience, wellbeing and knowledge of mental health, Supporting people who are experiencing barriers to achieving good mental health and Helping people to achieve and maintain recovery from poor mental health.

They also provide housing and support for people with a mental health condition to return to independent living.

Through the RSM Foundation, the first £250 of donations are matched, meaning that no matter how big or small your donation may be, it will have twice the impact to the lives of those within our local Preston community.
