Story

On 21st March 2021 we lost our wonderful daughter Poppy to suicide. We miss her laughter, kindness, sassy cheek and creativity. We are arranging this short walk through the beautiful countryside to remember Poppy, raise awareness of young suicide and support Papyrus (www.papyrus-uk.org) during International Suicide Awareness Week.

You can help in 3 ways.

1. Please share these details with your friends and family, and post on your social media.

2. Make a donation to Papyrus through this Walk for Poppy Just Giving Page

3. Join us on the 7th September. Everyone is welcome. The walk takes about 4 hours, and includes tea and cake together halfway round in Monkton Combe village hall. Sign up to join the walk and get all the details: Click here to sign up

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK. Every year over 1800 young people take their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
