Pop's Skydive for Trevi

Sky Dive for Trevi! · 27 April 2025
Hi! I'm Poppy (Pop - on the right), I am a Textiles Design student raising money for the Plymouth Charity Trevi.
Trevi is a truly amazing and life-changing charity which helps women and children affected by violence, abuse and drug and alcohol misuse. Over the past few months I've been participating in the events that they have held around Plymouth including their vigils and Reclaim the Night march. I have seen first hand the difference that they are making, and they are crucial in making a change and difference.
Every 15 minutes another child is taken into care. In some cases baby is removed within days, before mum has been given a chance to prove she can be a good mum. Sadly, domestic abuse, addiction and mental ill health is on the rise. We’re working to change this.
By providing vital services including a residential rehabilitation centre exclusively for mothers and their children plus a women's centre which provides counselling, 1-1 support and accredited courses to help women work through their trauma, we’re transforming despair into hope.
I have never done anything like this before, especially a skydive! I am scared of heights and I have only ever thought about doing a skydive on the future, but I mean why not now? The time is now! I am excited to be taking part in raising money for Trevi.
Anything you can give helps, even sharing so thank you so much and have a wonderful rest of your day! 💓
