Candlelighters support children and their families in Yorkshire affected by childhood cancer.

Thank you for taking the time to read my page, I’m poppy, 3 days after my 17th birthday I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. When we found out we was all in huge shock because although I was ill for a very long time, the thought of it being cancer never crossed our minds. My family felt like their life’s had been turned upside down but I knew I needed to stay strong for them.

 After 6 rounds of chemotherapy, 17 sessions of radiotherapy and nearly losing my life to sepsis    because an infection in my Hickman line , we was so happy to hear I got the all clear on the 13 of March 2023Me and my family can’t thank the hospitals, nurses doctors and candlelighter’s enough. But we are going to try give back to them for all they have done for me. I wouldn’t be here without them. 

That’s why I’m going to do a skydive to try raise as much money as I can for candlelighter’s which is a teenage cancer charity. A small donation can go along way and help many family’s who also feel like their lives have been turned upside down. Everything we raise will be going to candlelighter’s so it would be very appreciated if you could donate what ever you could thank you ❤️
