Story
I am thrilled to have been selected as one of the 12 jockeys participating in the 2024 running of the BHS Charity Race in aid of the British Horse Society. This exhilarating event will take place at Newbury Racecourse on the 7th of November, and is a ridden race over 1 mile (on the flat). In order to take part on the 7th, I will be required to pass the Amateur License fitness test in September. I am honoured to be a part of this event, and I hope you can follow me along in my journey up to the fitness test and then the big day!
My passion for riding racehorses began when I started riding out alongside my university studies. A few years down the line and having ridden a variety of flat and jump horses, in both Newmarket and Lambourn, I am now really looking forward to putting my riding and fitness to the test. I am committed to this challenge not only to further my riding skills and fulfill the childhood dream of following in my grandfathers footsteps, but most importantly to raise funds for the British Horse Society.
The British Horse Society is committed to promoting the welfare of horses and providing support for equestrians across the UK. By participating in this race, I’m dedicated to supporting the BHS to make a meaningful impact. Your generous support will help me contribute to this vital charity.
