Story
I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday October 6th to raise money for Welsh Women's Aid . This is in memory of my father, John Morgan, a proud Welshman; and in honour of my mother, Frankie Merz, who worked for organisations and charities in this field all her life. Welsh Women's Aid offers vital life-saving and life-changing services to women and their families living in Wales, and strives for a world where women are free from fear and abuse. Any amount you can give is precious and will be gratefully received. I will be running as Polly Morgan
About Welsh Women's Aid:
1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 children in Wales will experience abuse and violence at some point. This includes sexual violence, coercive controlling behaviour, forced marriage, sexual exploitation, female genital mutilation, stalking or harassment. Welsh Women's Aid work to make sure that everyone impacted by abuse can access vital lifesaving and life changing services, and with your help they can continue this support.
They make sure survivors and their families are offered practical help, advocacy, counselling and support in a crisis and longer term. Violence against women and girls affects us all and is everybody's business; everyone has the right to live free from fear and abuse. Help us end domestic and sexual abuse in our lifetime by supporting my fundraising page.
