Story

On 1st December, we (Tarnica & Tash) will be joining the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice team for the Big Dip. We'll be braving the freezing waters of Sandford Parks Lido to raise vital funds for Sue Ryder.

Sue Ryder's Leckhampton Court Hospice is Gloucestershire's only inpatient unit for specialist palliative care. They also provide care for patients in their own homes, along with virtual support from their day hospice and outpatient services. This incredible team has provided compassionate, high-quality care to countless Gloucestershire residents and their families during the times when every moment truly matters.

For anyone who has had to say goodbye to a loved one, the importance of good palliative and end-of-life care is something deeply felt, and we are no different. That’s why we’ll be taking the plunge as 'Emma & Dave’s Polar Plungers', in loving memory of Emma Matthewson and David Coleman.

And if you’re wondering how we’ll manage in the cold - don’t worry! We’ve been preparing by freezing our butts off cold-water swimming at Cromhall Quarry over the last few months and are ready to start Freezin' for a Reason.

Please consider donating to support patients and their families when they need it most.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
