Instead of buying gifts for Christmas this year, POD are fundraising for Birmingham Christmas Shelter, a local charity doing vital work for vulnerable people over the Christmas Period.

Birmingham Christmas Shelter is opening its doors again during Christmas week 2023 to provide hot meals and drinks, entertainment, services, emergency clothing and a safe and warm place to sleep and place for those who are just lonely over the Christmas period, a time when the majority of other services in the Birmingham area are closed for the festive season.

We receive no public funding and rely completely on donations, volunteers and community fundraising. It costs us about £30k to run Shelter Week each year and 100% of the money raised goes to the charity. We therefore need your help with our Fundraising this year.
