Story
I'm a Coastguard Rescue Officer based in the South West and we often rely on the help of the Air Ambulance to get a casualty to hospital.
Cornwall Air Ambulance is the charity that provides critical care to the most seriously sick and injured people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The crew attend more than 1,000 missions every year, and with no direct government support towards running costs, it relies on the generosity of people like you to keep flying.
When it comes to saving lives, every minute matters. The helicopter is on scene on average in just 12 minutes in mainland Cornwall and less than 30 minutes on the Isles of Scilly. The paramedic aircrew provide pre-hospital critical care at the scene of the incident.
In March 2024, I will be walking the South West Coast Path in order to raise £1,000 for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust. Please join me in supporting this amazing charity - your donation will help save lives!
